What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.
Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).

Are there special earning categories?Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)
In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.
NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

What are the rules for transferring UR points to other users or to my own air/hotel/rail accounts?
See the separate discussions in
Closing Ink Plus cardsIt is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

Businesses live on debt. They're looking at whether you're making your payments or not.

I have been doing a ton of research trying to figure out whether or not to apply for the Chase Ink Plus.
I started reselling on eBay/Amazon about a year ago. I would love to get the Chase Ink Plus for this "business". Business income would be about $10k/year.
My credit score is around 745. I currently have the following CCs: Discover More (1/12), Chase Freedom (7/13), Chase BA Visa (2/15), Target Red Card (3/15), CSP (7/15), AMEX Everyday (7/15). I've already met my spending minimums for all cards and I'm starting to get bored. Plus I have some wedding/honeymoon expenses coming up in September that I could use to meet minimum spending.
What are the chances of me getting approved?

Why would that scare you? In my experience it seems like anytime I call them I get asked about my business. It doesn't scare me at all, but it is annoying as heck and I will probably start using SM more just soo I don't have to play twenty questions with them.

So what to do now? Apply right away, and hope to still get in before its too late? Or maybe they are still different products, and Chase will continue to approve new Plus apps for Bold customers, in which case maybe its better to wait for whenever the next increased bonus may be offered? What are y'all doing?

It didn't give immediate approval, but the notice was also not a "Thank you for applying and we'll get back to you" message. It gave me a referrence number and a phone number and told me to call. I took a deep breath, made the call, and after verifying my info, they approved me with a 32k CL. No business related questions asked.
I'd say go for it.^

I was kind of where you are with questions. I've been bitten by the MS bug, and was looking for a way to maximize the 134k UR points I've accrued on my Freedom card over the years. Reading through the info on this site, I felt the best option in the long run was the Ink Plus so I could transfer UR points out. Starting a Personal Training business on the side, but no tax ID or income yet, I was apprehensive about my chances of getting Ink, even with 823 FICO. I was just going to go for the CSP, but yesterday figured "What the heck," and applied online for Ink.

Same here. In fact, when I applied for the Bold, the Plus had a larger bonus, but I figured better to get the Bold, which was going away, and then the Plus and its bonus later. I hope I haven't missed the boat.

Any idea when we'll see an increased sign-up offer for Ink Plus?
Yes, I recognize my questions is purely speculation but I noticed that there were increased offers last September through January and again in May. What are the chances that another increased offer comes around again this fall?
I'd really like to get the Ink Plus but I'd hate to settle for the 50k if the 60k or 70k offer comes around again. Has there been any sort of trend in the past related to when the offer is increased?

Is this considered a Business for Chase Ink Plus?
Long Time Lurker, First time poster.
Hello everyone,
So I was very interested in applying for the Chase Ink Plus card due to its bonus categories and signup bonus, but I dont know if what I do is technically a business?
My parents own a gas station and I currently pay their monthly utilities, phone, cable, and internet bills. Its not out of my own pocket. They give me the money they earn from their business to make their payments because they cant apply for decent credit cards due to a bankruptcy that is still on their report.
On average its about 2.5k month (150k points vs 30k points). They give me about $50 extra for each transaction I do as a 'convenience fee'.
Can I use this 'credit loan' that I provide for a fee as a legitimate business for the Ink Plus application?
