What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.
Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).

Closing Ink Plus cardsIt is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

This sounds like a trap.
If you seek the price protection benefit, it won't qualify if it's for professional use. If it's not for professional use, then why did you use your business card? Yes, there are reasons, but it may not be worth the effort.
I'd suggest using a consumer card and also get meaningful extended warranty. That's worth the lost savings.

I asked this same question in the "Applying for Chase Credit Cards" thread but also wanted to get input from people who currently have the Ink Preferred card.
I'm planning to upgrade my wife's ring for our 10 yr anniversary. If I apply for the Ink Preferred and get approved being that it is a business card, would it raise any red flags if I charged her gift on it to help me meet the minimum spend at the jewelry store?

Why do you bother with paypal and deal with the paypal headaches? Just buy them direct from gyft using your CIP. I did recently as of a few weeks ago and still get 3X - direct.

I'm about to launch a small SaaS product that leans on Twilio for SMS pretty heavily, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm better off on the Ink if it earns 5X or the Amex Blue Biz at 2X.
