3000 holiday bonus points for Southwest Visa... Do they count towards CP?

3000 holiday bonus points for Southwest Visa... Do they count towards CP?
So I'm really close to amounting 60k in spend for the year (I got 50k points on signup) So I'm going to try and get the CP for 2014. I got a note in the mail to sign up for 3k extra points if I spend 5k by 12/31/31.. Would those 3k points count towards CP status? I know it specifically says in the rules the following:
"Purchased points and points earned from program enrollment, Tier bonuses, flight bonuses, and Partner bonuses do not count toward Companion Pass status."
However I know the 50k from enrollment seems to count. Anybody know if these 3k points would count?:

The points did count, but only when your statement after you hit the $3k came, not when the spending was done. I got mine in 2014.
