Definition of "Office Supply Store"

HI,

For those with an Ink Bold card; do you earn the office supply bonus for purchases made from staples.com, officedepot.com, etc...?

Thanks

"New" Ink Bold 5% office supply stores question

I am wondering if anyone knows which stores are categorized as "office supplies" for ink bold's 5% back.

So far all I know are Staples, Office Depot, and Office Max B&M as well as online for all 3.

Does anyone know any others? I'm trying to maximize the spend on this card vs using other cards.

EDIT: Sorry mods for creating the new thread...didn't see this one!

OfficeMax online when using my Bank of America Cash Rewards for Business card always shows as an online merchant and doesn't qualify for the category bonus. I am unsure of whether Chase will thus count it but if they are using what the merchant provides then if your Ink Bold is a Visa card it should not count. Hope this helps. Office Depot and Staples online and Brick and Mortar always report correctly for me with my Bank of America card.

Would Best Buy be considered an office supply store by Chase Ink?

Would I get 5x points on Best Buy purchases made with my Chase Ink like I would at an Office Deport or Office Max? Thanks for your help.

Best Buy is not an office supply store, so you would only earn 1 pt/$ using your Chase Ink Card.

This should help you; put in the name and address of a specific location and it will return the category under which it reports to Visa:

Thanks this is very good information. I've often wondered what was going to show up.

Office Max: With the Ink Business card do you get 5x?

I know it sounds like a dumb question but I just wanted to make sure. Has anyone made purchases at Office Max and received the 5x bonus with the Chase Business?

I am going to buy a new camera and was going to go to Office Max and buy Amazon GC's and just wanted to confirm the 5x points before I did all the extra work.

Thanks in advance!

I have had no problems getting my 5x at Office Depot or Office Max.

If you were unsure of this benefit, why do you have the card?

Don't think OP was unsure of the benefit, but rather just wanted to make sure it works. Unlike Citi, who nickel and dime and do not give the promised bonuses.
