To clarify -- FHR or LHRC? If Amex FHR doesn't count that's an even bigger change...

Both - my Delano FHR booking did not count as eligible stay but the spent did count. I did choose to pay on property not prepaid in case you think thats the reason why it did not post properly.

My FHR stay at Park Hyatt posted as usual.

As an update -- my stays didn't post automatically, I e-mailed MGM and they said that my stay is ineligible, and I emailed them *again* and the second time they agreed to post it. The nights just posted to my Hyatt account today, so it seems like it still is possible to get elite nights if you're persistent!

I just got updates on my hyatt account, all reservations last month at NoMAD, Delano, Aria, booked thru LHRC are not counted as qualifying nights on my Hyatt account. I got sorts of points but no qualifying nights.

What did you say in your email? qualifying nights are important now as WM and safeway close MS doors now. Thanks.

Nothing special -- just that I had a few stays in LV recently but didn't see any qualifying nights in my account yet. I gave them my MLife and WoH numbers and within 3 days or so they posted them for me.

Had awful experience at Caesar's in LV recently. Unlike many hotels, I was not given a sheet explaining benefits. I was told that I had a $60 breakfast benefit. The buffet, which would have been my preference and is the normal place for the breakfast benefit, as I understand, was, of course, closed, so went to the coffee shop downstairs. Was charged the full amount on my portfolio and could not get the credit applied. Was told that it was a third party restaurant. I asked where should I have gone and was told Starbucks. How was I supposed to know to go to Starbucks? Does not even seem like an appropriate place for a $60 breakfast in a "luxury" property. I called many times and invariably kept on hold for very long periods of time just to speak to someone without resolution. LHC people went to bat for me and were also put on hold for long periods of time and not luck either. Finally told to go to their website and send a complaint to customer service. Well, I did, and no response.

Also, tried to get a late checkout (2:00 p.m.) so I could do a conference call. Only got 1:00, which is disappointing, but in Las Vegas, I understand late check-out is difficult. This is a strong argument for using Amex FHR which gets 4:00 p.m. checkout. After I pushed to get a later checkout, I was told that my "host" (which apparently has something to do with their loyalty program) would not approve of a later checkout, but they would watch my play (which was non-existent) and might extend based upon that. Well, that was a non-starter for me, but realize that Caesar's is a casino and not a hotel (or at least a good hotel), based on this treatment.

Chase LHRC has eighteen properties listed in NV . All except Caesars Palace specifies in the listing which restaurant the breakfast benefit applies. Might be worth a credit card chargeback since they advertised a blanket breakfast benefit without exclusions.

Cardmember Benefits**
  • Breakfast for up to 2 people daily (Max credit of $30 per person, per day)

Nevsky, or anyone else - can you please advise whether your LHRC booking at Caesar's Palace included resort fees? It's impossible to tell from the reservation.

Thank you so much for responding NC2015. Does it confirm that on the reservation? I fear fees when they're not noted.

Also, do you know if the breakfast options have improved per Nevsky's comments below?

Has anyone figured out whether these bookings earn 10x/5x points on Chase Sapphire Reserve/Preferred?

Yes , but is cxLoyalty a travel agency that is considered .......

The broad reality is that hotel chains do not want us to book through any agency.

That is a Global Distribution Systems booking.
I recall Citi Thankyou used to be and they now " strongly encourage" on line bookings.
But I don't think On-line is the definitive decider.

For instance , SOME Virtuoso travel agents have online bookings that let you bypass a live person.
All Virtuoso booking earn points ,As do FHR online bookings.

perhaps we can post a reference point for each chain.

I think this is relevant , especially now, given that most of the big chain brands are offering "triple points"
After all CX loyalty is NOT an opaque website,

I found it discouraging that today , I was not offered option of entering my loyalty number , much less list any requests or comments for the ghotel
