Fairmont DC is an awesome hotel. Their Gold Lounge breakfast is pretty comprehensive already with a great Cappuccino. Enjoy your stay!

Definitely a nice hotel, had gotten married there 7 years ago was so nice to go back. The $355 price included all taxes/fees so it truly was a good price for a suite on the gold floor. We took advantage of the breakfast in Junipers, but did swing by the lounge after to look at their breakfast selection and it looked pretty good. The welcome amenity ended up being a large bottle of water and fruit plate. I don't know what VIP status meant but didn't seem to get anything special from that and WIFI was already included for free since we were part of their reward program.

Amex had great offers tho
I just booked Aria, $130 per night room. LHC $100 food credit plus $30 per person (so $60 for me/wife) breakfast credit. Plus other various perk bits.

$130 room, less $160 credit for what I would otherwise have spent in addition to room. So even with the stupid resort fee of $40, the room will be for all intents, free. And I accrue MLife tier points and use status benefits from that too.

How is that anything but a no-brainer?

LHC or AmEx FHR credits combined with a SW Companion Pass, we fly down there pretty much every month (or more) just to hang out and have a phenomenal dinner. We are not gamblers btw...lol.
lainys, Statman and akr1970akr like this.

Surprisingly, I got the upgrade at Aria from a Strip View to Corner Suite. However, it probably only happened because I showed up at 10pm on a Wednesday for a one night stay, I asked for an upgrade, the desk agent said I would need to pay, and then I mentioned the LHRC rate. The circumstances couldn't be better, and even then, it required a bit of gamesmanship.

At both Aria and MGM Signature, the desk agents didn't know what "the Chase Rate" or "the LHRC Rate" was. I basically had to explain it to them, and then the light bulb went off in their head.
Heading to the Signature in the next couple of weeks. Did they only give you the $100 dining credit or did they offer daily breakfast as well as early check in and late check out? Also, did you end up getting the free upgrade to a one bedroom?

You get all the mentioned items. However, early checkin is if available, not guaranteed. Breakfast place is only ok and located in building 2. Starbucks is in building 1. Building 3 has no food and is the longest walk to casino. I always ask for building 2.

I agree with everything AFAM-DFW said, but I don't understand why Building 2 is prefered over Building 1. Building 1 is the closest, and the bar there is actually a nice place for a drink:

My "free breakfast" in Building 2 was a chicken club sandwich which was inedible. If you decide to eat there, order something they can't screw up. I didn't ask for early check-in because I arrived at check-in time. I also didn't ask about an upgrade, and didn't get one.

Bellagio was pretty lenient and allowed for the free breakfast to be used anywhere. Does the Signature limit to Delights in Building 2 only or can we grab coffee at Starbucks using the breakfast credit?

Has anyone attempted to use the lhrc website lately and gotten stuck in an endless loop trying to get rates? If I had to guess, I'd say there is an issue with validating the first 6-digits of my CSR card (and I've tried my entering digits for my chase presidential platinum card as well). in both cases, I'm taken right back to the hotel overview screen where I can once again enter the dates and # of guests. Then back to the validation screen, then back to overview, etc. etc. THis is on Firefox. I've tried switching to Chrome. I've also tried clearing cookies. And I've tried Safari, which is the worst of all since the browser gets stuck in the validation process and eventually times out after 15 minutes or so.

The site only works on Internet Explorer. Had the same issue with Firerox.

I've tried several times and found that either AMEX's deals is better w/ the fourth night free or it's better on the Starwood site. Maybe it's the hotels I pick, but I usually just book directly on starwood to use my Gold status. Hopefully Chase LHC will pull through one day
