Cool Things To Say When People Compliment My Sapphire Card
I've had the Chase Sapphire card for about 8 months now, and I'm sure everyone else who has the card would agree that everybody you give it to compliments the card.
Usually I'll hand the card to the cashier and they'll say something along the lines of "wow, that's heavy" or "what do you have to do to get one of these cards?"
I usually never have anything good to say after they compliment the card. For example, I want to say something like "Why yes, I got that card after I made my first billion" but I always end up saying something like "ummm, ya...me like card"

Not sure if this thread will end up here or Omni, but I'll give it a go:
Attractive Clerk: Wow this card sure is heavy! Me: Yeah, you should feel my... (uncomfortable pause while the clerk: A.turns red, or B. bursts into laughter) Wallet! It's heavy too.
Make sure to say Wallet before the clerk: C. calls the police or D. maces/tazes you.
This is also a good response - "the company used to make them out of chocolate, but I had to replace 50 the first week."

Not really as smooth as I would like to be, but I just can't quite get it right.

the only comments I've gotten on the card regard the obtuse printing of all data on the back of the card.
now the Palladium card...that gets noticed (too much). I almost never use the metal version of it due to the attention.

Ho hum. I've very rarely had anybody to whom I've given the card for payment make a comment about it. Maybe 10% will look it over a little bit, but won't have anything to say about it.

It's a mixed bag with the CSP, IMHO. Yes, I like the weight of it and how it feels, but it's always annoying when it won't swipe at certain merchants and I have to use an alternate card.
