2 Apps on same day with Chase

I just started churning, and I guess I screwed my chances like a noob! Well I am a noob :D
Two weeks ago, I applied and got instant approval for citi TYP for 50k.
Last night applied for AMEX HHonors for 50k, instant approval.
Last night applied for Chase Marriott for 70k, instant approval
Then I got a weird itch to apply for Chase Hyatt, and I got the message that they need more time to review my app!

This morning I called the automated app status and it said both my apps are pending and will send me their decision in 2 weeks! Does this mean they may even decline Marriott that they approved?

What should I do now? Should I call them or wait for their decision and then call for recon?

Call the reconsideration line and speak to a human being.

I applied for two Chase cards in one day, twice last year, and got approved for all after calling Chase. If you don't hold any other Chase cards, you probably will get approved with no hassle by a phone call.

I don't have any of their CCs.
I mean they didn't decline my app, but it is under review. Should I call them now or wait for them to send their decision and then call for recon?

Call their recon dept now. I got my mom to churn Chase CC. She has 1 chase freedom card. I got her to apply 4 cards - BA, UA, PC & Hyatt. All 4 got the pending information. Called the recon dept the next day, they approved 3 cards (BA, UA & PC) and the last card was put on pending with approval recommendation (according to the recon agent). My mom specifically told them to process them in those orders.

Okay, so I called app status and a gentleman told me the Marriott is approved but the Hyatt is declined. The reason is my low income, which is 25K. He said these cards are Visa Signature and have 5k minimum CL, and they can't give me 10k credit. He advised me to wait for the denial letter to come and then call for recon. Now, I need some advice from great FTers about what to say on recon.

I am a PhD student and attend 4-5 conferences a year around the country and our university reimburses travel expenses. So, it is like additional income just for travel! I figured it may help me on recon. Any other idea?

You have three new credit cards with bonuses, I would call it a successful first round of applications and wait 3-6 months before trying again. I think the Chase Agent had a valid argument, and they have every right to deny you until your income increases and/or your track record with Chase is longer. Most of the people successfully and aggressively churning credit cards have high income and long credit histories.

I would call again and talk to another rep now. You might get favorable result. If not, then wait for the denial letter and then call back.

No it's not 'like additional income'...
Income is income and reimbursement is reimbursement. You dont file reimbursement as income in your tax return right?

Call again for sure, but if you dont get it just move on and try again when you have more history with chase.

I called again today and talked to another guy. He said they need to see some payment history with Chase before giving me 10k CL which is too high for my income. I guess I should settle with my cards for now as my AAoA will be less than one year once the new cards start reporting lol.

BTW, I will call for reconsider again once I receive the denial letter.
P.S. Aside from the bonus, the Hyatt card really looks great.

Thanks for your responses.

That sounds reasonable - I am also a PhD student but have a credit line with chase alone of about 60% of my income. The difference may be that I had a freedom card a while with good payment history before applying to any other chase cards.
