Chase Freedom redemption option?

Where is the most value?
Statement credit, GC or Air tkt?

I called them travel center. They said pts get converted in to cash. Depending on domestic or international, you get different amount of cash.

Does this mean, Statement credit is far better deal? ie most value?

The best value is actually to save them until you apply (and are approved) for either a Chase Sapphire Preferred or an Ink Bold card, after which you will be able to transfer the Chase Ultimate Rewards Points (including the points from your Freedom card) to United, Hyatt, BA, etc.

If that's not feasible, I think Chase has gift card sales every once in a while where you can get better than 1 cent / point.

How that is possible? Do you get better conversion rate that way?

Those two cards have annual fee after the first yr!

You can transfer the points from your Freedom account to a Sapphire Preferred, Ink Bold or other Ultimate Rewards account which allows airline and hotel chain redemptions.

Does anyone know if you have lets say10,000 ur points from freedom card and dont have ink or SP can you transfer the points to another person? I understand cannot transfer to partners but can you transfer to people or you have to just cash them out? Thanks

UR mall site has an option to "combine points" - it has an option for "others" where you can put the credit card # (Other Chase Ultimate Rewards Card) and name of the other person that you want to transfer to.

I have not tried this personally but this might be an option. I think this might work.

Edit - Here is one option that might be considered

Yes, it can be done. Technically I believe it written to be for spouses in the same household (or something like that), but it does work.

Hi everyone,

I'm a little confused by how this works. Freedom is a cash back card- but it sounds like I can transfer points to my Sapphire UR total? I haven't been able to figure it out through their site.

Thanks.

Freedom is marketed as if it were a cash-back card, but the rewards accumulate as points which can be transferred to other Ultimate Rewards' card rewards accounts and redeemed as if they were earned with that card.

Got it, thanks. I'd been reading around here about the benefits of two Chase accounts but didn't quite get it. That's pretty cool!

1) How can I set up an alert for Chase has gift card sales?
2) Correct me if I am wrong - transfer is possible only if you have Sapphire Preferred, Ink Bold card?
3) UR mall site option - is it only possible at the time of booking - not just a transfer?

1) I don't know if an alert is possible through Chase, but you could set up an alert through slickdeals or whatever your favorite deal site is. To check manually, login to Chase UR, go to Shopping, click Browse Gift Cards, and there should be a heading for Sale Items on the left. (Right now, Kohls gift cards are 10% off).

2) You are correct, you have to have one of these cards to transfer to airline partners.

3) I don't really understand this question, could you clarify?

That option is available anytime for any card [even if you have "chase debit card"] If you go to "UR Home" page the option is listed.

"Manage Ultimate Rewards --> Combine Points"

So this way you can transfer URs to my or my spouses United Mileageplus as long as that account has a CC associated with it?

Can I also transfer to Marriott Rewards as long as I have a Marriott CC?
