How long does it take for these miles to post after hitting the spend amount?
I had been putting off applying since I won't be flying til May (and want to extend the no annual fee period as long as possible.) But with the United devaluation I now want to try and have all the points by end of dec at latest, so I can book my summer trip to Europe at the old redemption rates.

Question
Trying to get this offer for a friend. Followed the wikipost, but was unsure if my friend should submit the application as the application link (using the link from the wiki) does NOT reflect the 50k offer. There is nowhere on the page that notes the offer is for 50k. Should they apply and cross their fingers and hope it's for 50k? Everywhere else on .bomb has banners showing 30k when logged into their account. Even when trying the dummy booking itin method, on the main .bomb page, or in the my account section, always shows 30k.
Just wanted to make sure that even though the link in post 1654 supposedly takes you to the 50k application, that my friend will indeed receive 50k (since it is not mentioned anywhere on the application link).
Thanks!

My wife applied for this card last week and just received it. She was also able to confirm 50K when she activated the card. The rep she spoke to mentioned only needing to spend $1K in 3 months. We will secure message Chase and see what they say.
Not sure if that has been mentioned previously but a way to know if you are on the correct app is that the 50K app still shows a fee for foreign transaction fees.

I've had this card for a couple years now, and a bit frustrated that there's only one recurring bonus - the 10K miles for $25K spend. Am I missing any further bonuses - e.g., for another $25K spend?

$50 credit
No, you do not. Just say something like "I wanted to know if you guys could match the existing offer for the $50 statement credit after your first purchase". They will then say "Yes" and explain how to gain all the bonus inlcuding the 50k for 1k spend, 5k for an AU and 10k for another big spend (i think 30k in a calender year).

Data point
-Applied 16 months after last app, got approved, got confirmed 50k bonus via SM the day I activated the card.
-Made first purchase. Got 50.00 statement credit
-Received Postcard in the mail stating I do not qualify for an bonus as it has been within 24months from my last application
- Received the 2 annual club passes in the mail 1 week later
- Will have to wait until 11/20 first statement closes to actually find out if no bonus miles post.
As of now, it would appear I would get the bonus miles, As I have gotten the 50 statement credit and the 2 club passes....... just wait and see I guess.

I am trying to help someone get this card, there are miles on the account but when I click the new offer link on first page I get this message on the account "The offer you are trying to reach has expired.
Please wait while we redirect you to the
new United MileagePlus® Explorer Card offer"
It never redirects, but when in United account I go to "Get a Card" the offer is 30k for $1000. She never had this card, only the sapphire and what's strange is that I got this card in jan 2011 and the 50k +5k AU does appear on my account. I canceled, that account before annual fee, along with CO branded.
Should she just use the application link been posted? I guess I am target since I do get the landing page for 50k and $2k spend.

Dear [Mickey Mouse]:
Thank you for your message to Chase regarding the United
MileagePlus reward program for the account ending in
1234.
I understand you are inquiring about the authorized user.
I have confirmed [Minnie Mouse] was added to the
account.
In regards to matching a different enrollment offer on
your United MileagePlus Explorer Card, I am pleased to
inform you that because Chase wants the United MileagePlus
Card to continue to be the Card of Choice, I issued a
$50.00 statement credit to the account as requested. The
credit will be reflected on your next billing statement.
I reviewed the application you submitted in October 2013
for the United MileagePlus Explorer credit card and have
confirmed that the up to 65,000 bonus miles promotion was
offered along with the first year annual fee waiver sent
by invitation only. Each year thereafter, your card
annual fee will be $95.00.
As a reminder, here?s how you earn up to 65,000 bonus
miles:
?You will earn a one-time 50,000 bonus miles after you
spend $1,000.00 in the first three months your account is
open. You will see these bonus miles post to your account
six-to-eight weeks from the date the spending requirement
is met.
?You will earn a one-time 5,000 bonus miles by adding an
authorized user and making your first purchase in the
first three months of opening your account.
?You also can earn a one-time 10,000 bonus miles when you
spend $25,000.00 or more on your card each calendar year.
Please keep in mind that all enrollment offers are for
new, first-time United MileagePlus Explorer credit card
members only. This means we reserve the right to withhold
adding any enrollment miles if you have previously
received them on the same product on a previous date.
It has been my pleasure to assist you. If you have any
further questions, please reply using the Secure Message
Center.
Thank you,

I am submitting this post in hopes it will tell folks this is still quite active as of my app on Oct 30, 2013. I used the instructions below which I found on this thread - not sure where since I copied it into my "Churn" file - but probably in the wiki or post 1654:
Go to Safari
Clear cache and go incognito
Log onto B's acct in United Mileage Plus
Open new window and go to
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/20316800-post1654.html
Go back to United window
Click on 30,000 banner offer
Then go to flyertalk window and click on the link there
("You should get a "please wait while we prepare your application" page, and then an application with your UA FF# and address pre-filled. If you get a "Try Again" page, go back and repeat the steps. You need to be logged in AND click on the 30k banner to get the application to load.")
Thanks FT and good luck to those of you about to apply.
Update - also note that there is just a $1000 spend for the first 50,000 points. Not $2,000. Thanks again.

I'm reading that some people receive the $1k/3 months offer and others the $2k/3 months offer - my wife got this card in August and got the $1k/3 months offer. Just wondering if there's a distinguishing factor that determines which offer you get, since I'm planning on applying myself in the next few days. Thanks in advance!
