Chase UR mall response
I made a GC purchase at Sears (1k total) for the 10x bonus points on August 4, 2012. I read that many received the points within 5 days. I have not so I write an email asking if Chase has a record of my transaction through the Chase Mall and if they can post my points. I didn't use my Chase card but rather my Amex PrePaid card.
Does Chase seem to know what cc i used? Nothing about posting the points in my account or how long it should take from the SM.
Does it seem like my post will be 10k points will be posted but the question is when ?
Dear XXXXX
I am writing in response to your email about the reward
points.
Upon review of your account, I see that,a charge made with
Sear using your Chase credit card. Kindly check the card
used for the purchase.
If you have any further questions, please reply using the

Some posters reported success getting points automatically when a Chase card is not used. However, other posters have reported points not posting when a Chase UR-linked card is not used and subsequent review by Chase denied the points because the Chase card was not used. They can track if you used the UR mal link to enter the shopping site AND which card you use for your UR purchase.
I think you may be SOL because you did not use your Chase card.
If you want to be 100% guaranteed to get the points, you have to use the UR mall portal to enter the shopping site AND use a Chase UR-linked card.

After a few emails I got my points posted with a non chase cc. The problem with me was Macy's.com split my order. The first one posted pretty soon after order the second took several emails.

Since the Ultimate Rewards Mall says "check out with your Chase card....", I always use a chase card, just not always the one that I logged in with. That way, I can point to my adherence to the website if the points dont post.

Yes, it is best to use the Chase card especially if you are going to receive a Huge amount of points for your transaction. After 2 SMs and 2 CSRs - all unfavorable results, I spoke with the Supervisor. Again, she told me no points as I did not use my Chase Card. After arguing with her for over an hour on the phone, the supervisor above her gave in and told me I would receive the points.

I've been using my Amex and have never had an issue with UR posting the points.
However, most of them were small transactions (about 20 or so) with a few hundred being the largest. After reading this thread, I think err on the side of caution and use my CSP for UR purchases.

Ultimate Rewards Travel Booking
Does anybody know whether there is a way to pay with a different credit card for travel booked through the UR site? I can't seem to find a way to enter a credit card number. Thanks.

Why would you want to book travel through Chase's agency? You will earn more bonus points booking through the Travelocity link in the Ultimate Rewards Mall.

If you go to ultimaterewards.com, login, and click Travel > Book a Trip: you will book through Chase's agency, you will earn one bonus point per dollar, and (to my knowledge) you must pay with your Chase card.
If instead you go to ultimaterewards.com, login, click Earn Faster > Earn Points at the Ultimate Rewards Mall and choose the link to Travelocity.com: you will be taken to Travelocity's standard website, you will earn two bonus points per dollar, and you will have the ability to pay with any card.
However, read this thread before deciding to use another card:

Did you use a Chase card? In the T&C, it specifically says you have to use a Chase card. Sometimes you'll get points automatically when you use a non-Chase card. But if it does not go thru and a CSR is involved and sees you did not use a Chase card, you won't get the points. Multiple ppl reported this happening esp w/high spend amts.
You may have gotten some courtesy points if you used a non-eligible card.
