I'd like a little more data on that. I can't replicate that offer in my account or my DW's.

Edit to add: there is also a new 70k offer:

Thanks; that does soften the blow. Will add to wiki.

No. We've already been over this several times upthread; that offer is dead. (App page redirects to 60K offer.)

Does not work when I click on Apply Now. Similar experience to my 80k + $50 offer posted above. These 80k+ offers seem to be targeted.

It took me to a working application page before I posted that link, but now it goes to a 404 error page.

I'm seeing it redirect to a 60K offer landing page, https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/ihg/ihgsaml60

In any event, we've already discussed the supposed 80K link in posts 2056-2063 and post 2208.

Does any one know that if I can possibly have more than one IHG rewards mastercard? The benefits outweighs the annual fee and I don't mind paying $49 to have a free night at any IHG hotels.

Please refer to the section in the wiki labeled "Can I apply for this card and earn the bonus after doing so previously?"

Weird, I'm still getting the 404 error. I've tried it being logged in and out of my IHG accounts but no difference.

I am fortunate to have applied and been approved yesterday before the offer got pulled..Took a couple of calls to the reconsideration line because it was not instant approval. I am assuming that they were in the process of removing the offer when I applied.

Do these 80k offers come up regularly - or was 80k (now gone) unprecedented?

(I'll be staying in an IHG property in about 4 weeks for a work trip, so would like to have an account number before I check in....but if an 80k offer is likely to come 'round again in a few months, would wait and forego the points I might gain for this stay.)

Thanks.

Hard to say. IIRC there have been 80K offers for a long time, but it used to be you'd get that with first purchase, no matter how small the amount.

My WAG is that 80K will come back eventually, but there's no way of knowing when that might be. Given how small the difference is between 70K & 80K, I don't think I'd wait very long. Earn 70K now, then come back for another bonus after the obligatory ~27-month wait.

I got the IHG 80k targeted offer, with 130k+ of points in the bank which I am not planning on redeeming any time soon. Is 80k the highest this has ever been targeted at? I have seen bonus offers in Big Wins but those are a few thousand bonus points tacked onto the standard 60k offer. Also some of these points were earned from stays using discount codes found on the web back when that was not explicitly banned. I'm leaning against applying, considering I haven't spent down the points yet, but would like to hear other thoughts.

Doctor of Credit has an article on a possible way to get the 80K plus $50 offer:
http://www.doctorofcredit.com/how-to...redit-offer-2/

80K is the highest I've seen since I got this card in 2010.

Does anyone know if I can use the free annual reward night have my son stay at the hotel and me not being present?

Would that be a problem?

As long as he's above the minimum age for check-in (18 or 21 depending on where).

You can book it yourself and add his name to the room.

I found a targeted 80k offer. You need to be logged into your IHG account. No $50 credit though.
