It was very helpful. Turned out I was denied with nothing delinquent on my credit report. The rep said there was a balance on a card, however, I dont have any chase cards. He was immediately able to confirm that the account was not mine. However, someone mistyped the social and that information is linked to my Social now - only in the Chase system. He was able to approve the credit card, but seems scary how this ended up this way in their system.

Now, most likely, I will be denied for any chase applications automatically in the future, but at least there is a way out. I have to write a letter to the office to see if they can remove that information from my account permanently, but sounds unlikely from the rep's response.
