Any Suggestions for QUITO Ecuador
 

We just bought a cheap fare for travel last weekend in Jan. 2009. we will need two rooms. any suggestions for things to see,do and reasonable place to stay

You can get a great deal on the Hilton, Radisson, or a local hotel in Quito.

Well, Quito has lots of things to see: the old city center, the markets, the Pichincha Volcano, Mitad del Mundo... Be sure to visit the mountains outside the city also, there are cheap day trips and activity tours available.
And it's a very cheap place to be!

We stayed recently at the Sheraton, and scored a nice free upgrade the second time to their tower suites on an award stay. It's a nice property although the restaurant prices are a bit high compared to neighboring restaurants in the adjacent mall or a short taxi ride away. A few years ago we stayed at Cafe Cultura - a nice place for its price point in case you are looking for someplace less expensive.
