Help! Packing for Costa Rica

Hi All- We are leaving next week for a week in costa rica (mid march). we are staying three nights in the Arenal area (springs resort) and three nights on the beach in Papagayo. Confused on the weather!! I know it will be hot in Papagayo (looks like 90 for a high and sunny). Just wondering about Arenal and if I need to even bring jeans or long pants at all (does it cool down at night?). Sweater or jacket? Any packing advice will be appreciated? First time to CR

Should be hot in Arenal as well. If you can get some columbia long pants I'd bring them just because it gets so hot it might actually burn you after a while. Plus, it'd never hurt in case it gets cold at night. Bring a sweater as well, a sleek one.
