Panama--College Student Trip
Hey Guys
So me and two buddies have decided to book a trip to Panama for 7 days.
While we plan to spend a night or so in the city and quick trip to the canal.. what are some great beaches in Panama? A lot of the other threads I searched for did not do a good job of detailing this.
Also (for you AA folks)... to upgrade or not. Should I use the 4 stickers required to go DFW-PTY on a 738?
Thanks!

One of my favorite beaches is Santa Clara which is about 1.5 to 2 hours from the city.
Since I live here, I'll usually just drive out and back the same day but occasionally, I'll stay here:

What I like about Santa Clara is the sand. It's not white but it's also not black which a lot of the other beaches in Panama have. Also, you can rent a cabana and some hammocks. There are some decent restaurants right there on the beach for when you get hungry.
I would try to go on a weekday. The weekends don't get crowded enough (unless it's a holiday) to make for an unpleasant time but you might not get a cabana.
A warning: As you'll be receiving almost direct sunlight, you will burn in less than 30 minutes unless you use sunblock.

When are you all going?
I will be there by myself, rent a car and drive crazy distances to get to some rafting and mountain biking.
I was supposed to go with my brother but he could not come. I am there from next Thursday for 6 days.

Ahh! We missed each other. I was there the 10th-20th! But have fun, it is a great country!
