Short Trip/Excursion from San Jose
 

I am planning for a short trip to San Jose 3 nights at most. Does anyone know if they have local travel operators in San Jose that offer 1 night tours to Arenal Volcano or any of the rainforest at an affordable price (incl. accommodation)? Will I have enough time to see both volcano and rainforest for a 2D, 1N excursion? I arrive around noon on the first day and my flight leaves around 1pm on the fourth day (planning to do this over Labor Day weekend - Sept. 2010). Thanks!

I would say, do the rainforrest tram and then Arenal , its a little tight since the Arenal area has many attractions

I would say

land
pick a hotel close to the rain forrest tram and head that very day there, it wont take a very long time , head back and then the day after leave to Arenal

but with such a tight itinerary I would try to have everything arranged ahead of time
