Except for the pasta side dish served with chicken in J on HKG - PVG last week. I think a typical microwave pasta would have swept the floor with that rubber thingy. And this flying between two noodle capitals.

CX 238
5pm departure
Full dinner service after takeoff
Usually four choices of entrees including one vegetarian choice, which is always the pasta! You might want to do a special meal order, if you require a specific kind of vegetarian meal!

Thank you. I do eat some kinds of meat and seafood, but it's good to know there will be a vegetation option to fall back on.

Can anyone post a recent Dragonair J class breakfast menu served from PVG-HKG. I'm flying KA857 in a few days and am curious as I have some restrictions on diet and am wondering whether to order a special meal or not.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You could check out our thread of menus and see if there is one for your route from the past.

Y- Meal options
After about 10 years of flying CX between LAX and MNL, I've come to hate the meals offered. Not really hate, but just the smell of the entree makes me want to puke.
Its pretty much every meal served but I can tolerate the Congee during breakfast. However, since CX flights I take don't correspond to breakfast, I'm usually left with no meal option during the flight. On the last few times, I've resorted to bringing a sandwich on board as my meal.
Is there a way in my MPC profile to set that my preferred meal be only Congee? I've checked the choices and could not find anything that would correspond to congee.

Is there any way to request a menu in advance so I can decide if I need to book a special meal or not (due to unfortunate dietary restrictions)? I emailed via website but was told it could be 20 business days for a response. Flight is early June, CX 831 JFK-HKG, First Class. Thanks!

I'm not sure if they would even have the June menu prepared yet...
You could always wait till T-48 and see if anyone on here (or other numerous blog/websites) posted a menu for your specific route and decide. If nothing comes up or suits you....then just order your SPML before the T-48 mark.

Am flying HKG-CEB in Y+ soon, flight timing is CX921 Depart 1620/Arrive 1905 and meal is "Refreshment".
What should I be expecting for refreshment?
Return is CX920 Depart CEB 2005/Arrive HKG 2250 and is "Dinner".
Are these going to be Y mains or J mains on both flights?

You will likely get a savoury wrap and a boxed drink.
