Yes it is getting mediocre .... to be fair, the card also offers free airport lounge access plus the bonus mile purchase program, but the benefits have been drastically downgraded from what were described several months ago ... relative to that time, the current benefit was kind of disappointing (I doubt if some of us may even bother to apply had we known the change) ... in all likelihood, the mile purchase program may not be as generous as well this year....

The Citibank/Cathay Visa Platinum Select Preferred that I have is $8 / AM in HK, $4 / AM outside so that still seems to be the best deal.

No fee if you spend HK$150,000 per year or maintain MPC Silver or above.

Just noted that if you already have any credit card from Citibank, you will not have the bonus AM when applying for a new CX (Cathay) Citibank credit card!!

Hi Cardiology, You are obviously the expert on OUB Ultima. Is it possible for you to inquire when it is that they will have the Asia Miles block buy this year? Many thanks.

cardiology, any idea on whether the Langham Place breakfast is really a benefit (as per your earlier posts)? Cheers.

finally a good benefit - but not in HK

Finally got a great benefit out of the UOB card, but unfortunatly this wasn't in HK, but in Singapore.

At St James Power Station in Singapore, UOB Infinite card holders get to use the members entrances and don't have to pay cover charge for themselves and a guest.

For those who don't know, St James is a an old power station which has been convereted into five or six nightclubs, it is very popular in Singapore at the moment.

Members entrance means that you don't have to wait in the line to get into the clubs, and free entrance saves you around S$ 15 - 25 per person.

I only found out about this benefit by fluke when I was there this weekend.
