Celebrity? that really depends on what do you mean by celebrity. He's the person who imported rice cookers to HK back in the 60s/70s and many japanese electronic equipments that transformed lives of many. if you rate some random obscure person who's been on tv as celebrity then why not him.
whether or not you think he is, that's a different matter.

We're not questioning about the definition of "celebrity"....but just the description of "Panasonic dealer" was indeed quite board.
It could easily have meant the sales guy at Fortress selling a Panasonic shaver...

Been seated across the aisle from Maggie Cheung on a CDG - HKG flight. She's pretty short in real life. And she put on a scarf and dark glasses before disembarking - would've thought that screams "I'm a celebrity!".
Also been seated next to Tung Chee Hwa on HKG - PEK.

Steve Wozniak
or someone who looked a lot like him, dining alone @ The Haven yesterday around 7AM.
Looking at yesterday's arrival times, I'd reckon that he came in by 873.
Not wanting to be pesky and starstruck, I didn't go up and say hi - should have, for I realized some 25 minutes later, that it was his birthday. (when I was showing his wiki page to my wife). Too late - couldnt see him anywhere in the lounge by then.
Doubt he'd care for the birthday upgrade though because the last time I'd spotted someone look a lot like him, that person had been in the F cabin of CX879. And he'd have taken off on the 10th (if it was actually 873 that he cam in on). And he'd probably be in biz on the next segment (recall reading somewhere that he flies CX WestCoast-Oz a fair bit)..

I don't think it's him according to his twitter, he has been in CA/NV for the past few days. However, I've actually seen him on one of the 2 SFO flights, he's in F.

I thought I saw Kelsey Grammer in the Wing F lounge on 10/26. A little googling revealed that he was there filming the next Transformers movie, so I'm pretty sure it was him.

am I allowed to bump this thread? I was on the same flight HKG-ORD with Jasper Tsang and his wife. I believe they were in 11A and 12A, but they were op-upped to 2D/2K (was stalking EF before boarding). They boarded last minute.
1) Another GO in 11G presumably instant upgraded to First. Final result: I moved from dorm room and ended up having 11A, 12A and 11D (was not taken all along) + 11G all to myself. Every other seat in J was taken.
2) It shows that him being #1 on the op up pecking order can get an op up without oversold situation. J loading was 52/53, F 2/6.
3) Upon arrival at ORD, since door 2 was used, mini cabin was let off first. An escort (CX ORD ground staff) fetched them after we were let out. Funny enough I think his wife was somewhat stuck at CBP and I saw him waiting in the bag claim area for a bit.
I had wanted to chat with him but figured that he was moved to F to keep as much privacy as possible, so...
