He probably took sleeping pills and purposely knocked himself out. He admits that he has a great fear for flying and he will do anything to minimize the experience, including taking sleeping pills to make sure he sleeps most of the way.

It depends how one defines a celebrity. If you include the pseudo-models that litter Hong Kong these days then I guess yes... there are plent of them on CX/KA flights.
I sat next to a hip-pop "artist" a few weeks ago with his super loose pants have fallen down to his knees, have no idea what his name is but you do see him on TV sometimes. He was looking at me and others and seems to be thinking why we were'nt staring at him more often.

Danny Devito in J on CX 830 in January 2010, with Rita Perlman (wife of Cheers fame) and one of his daughters, all sitting directly in front/to the left of me. Must've been my lucky day, cause that was also the first time I ever received an op-up from Y to J on the HKG-JFK route (3rd/4th year as SL)!

I once flew out of LA to HKG several years ago 747...night flight. In the LAX lounge F for Cathay was Lance Bass (N'Sync) and current boyfriend flying to Tahiti on Air Tahiti Nui. Then the entire Backstreet boys showed up and they were doing a concert in Malaysia I think.... F was full with them...me and bodyguards....I was the only uninvited one. Interesting dynamics to watch and listen to.
Also...Kevin Spacey last year in December/Jan in the Wing before going to Sydney...or London...couldn't figure out which way he was going.
Gwen Stefani from LAX-HKG in F. She slept, I slept. We did NOT sleep together.
Lastly, I don't often know the Asian stars as I am USA based however I have been on several flights where we have had trouble of people trying to cross the curtain in F to get photos or meet the stars....one two flights I can remember Cathay made announcements to stay within your assigned cabins and one of them actually placed a flight attendant full time to make sure privacy was respected. I never found out who this person was.

in late 2009 or early 2010. Must have been the same China trip for him.edit - there was also a recognizable US TV / movie actor on the same flight in F, but for the life of me I cannot put name to the face. I remember deplaning with him, and hearing him chuckle to himself and turn around to look when we got off the jetway and CX staff were holding a sign up for "Daniel J Devito" or something like that.
