Email address for refund status?

Applied 8 weeks ago for a refund of the cancelled return portion of a CX ticket. Anyone know of an CX email address where I can learn the status of the refund processing? Assume that the fare desk needs to calculate the refund amount as I flew the outbound portion, so will be entitled to something close to 1/2 the paid amount.

I think their original statement to you will have been a refund within 45 working days unless you're in the US (they often do it sooner). They ask that you call up it seems.

The way this worked for me recently was:
  1. Ring up and ask for a refund, it was a complex journey so they said ticketing needed to calculate it
  2. A day later they sent me an email (no reply address) stating the value that remained on the ticket
  3. I rang up and confirmed it was going into the refund queue, I received another email confirming the amount
  4. Presumably at some point it hits my credit card, but they did warn it was up to 45 days

I don't think the money has returned for me yet, but they were a lot quicker on a simple refund (i.e. on my HKG-SIN travel bubble flight), which came back in under 2 weeks.

Hence, unfortunately its a call not an email, and realistically you just have to keep waiting. However, 8 weeks seems like a long time with no update, so it may deserve a single call to check that it is in the refund queue for sure.

Hard deadline 120 days to get your bank to chargeback for failed refund. I normally do it after 90 days (I did it to BA - was honoured).
