SCMP and Exec Traveller: CX to absorb KUL, Hanoi, Fukuoka, Kaohsiung routes
Great to see CX stepping in to formally fold these routes into its network. Looking forward to more formalized route announcements soon, as CX absorbs the rest of the KA network.... which routes will likely be next?
A spokesperson for Cathay Pacific confirmed to Executive Traveller that the airline will step back into the Hong Kong - Kuala Lumpur corridor. Hanoi, Fukuoka and Kaohsiung will also come under Cathay's wing, reports The South China Morning Post. Also: https://www.executivetraveller.com/n...-cathay-dragon |

Wondering whether CX will still serve CRK. Will it be flown by CX or HX?

I hope the PEN-HKG route goes back to CX as well... t'was popular with holidaymakers and especially the MNC crowd en-route to China and the USA.

I am not playing the game of which old KA destination is next to come back but simply ask
Is Chengu an important commercial destination or just a tourist route - ie ? not worth taking back . |

Is Chengu an important commercial destination or just a tourist route - ie ? not worth taking back . It is the capital of Sichuan and the 6th largest city in China. Its economy is thriving and diverse. In 2019 it was the fourth busiest Chinese airport.(fifth if you include HKG). |
Ta , I did mean Chengdu .
|
all I’m waiting to find out about is DVO, but I imagine that will be one of these last hashed out.
|
While I’m glad to see CX returning to all these ports, I wonder whether they are approved by the authority or just pure wish of CX.
