Cathay Pacific Asks All Staff To Take Unpaid Leave

https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/...employees-take

Cathay Pacific is asking all of its 27,000 employees to take three weeks of unpaid leave over the coming months, the company’s CEO told staff on Wednesday, as Hong Kong’s flagship carrier reels from the devastating impact of the deadly coronavirus on air travel.

That's going to be tough for a lot of people. I wonder what kind of sacrifices CX CEO is making?

That's going to be a tough ask given how CX has spent the last few years trying to screw all it's employees. I doubt many are feeling particularly charitable towards them.

Given how expensive HK is, I'm not sure how many people will take up on the offer. At some point it may be mandatory?

Staff asked to take unpaid leave, suppliers to cut prices, projects put on hold. Tough times for Cathay.
