Ground Services ex-JFK

Greetings.
Traveling in F ex-JFK.
Knowing I can't use AA Flagship Check In (right?), can I expect any type of escort to the head of the security line?
Does CX use TSA Pre?
Lastly, is there an escort from Flagship First Dining to the gate? I ask this latter part, because I've seen CX staffers around the Flagship Lounge from time to time.

Thanks!

From my experience last month...
  • AA check-in: not sure, I used Cathay's counters
  • Escort through security: not happening
  • TSA Pre: yes, according to this
  • Escort from lounge to gate: no

OK thanks. Wonder why I always see CX agents in the FL then, if not to escort F pax. Maybe to deal with delays/cancellations.

you can not use AA Flagship check-in for CX flights from JFK.

I had same experience last week:
No escorts at all
Yes - pre-check

Not that far of a walk anyway, FL is right after you exit security, just take the elevator up, FL !st class lounge is actually inside the Business Class lounge, in my experience, they agent checking you in at the lounge will walk you over and let you inside the First Class Dining area. At least they did for me and the wife when we flew CX !st out of JFK.

Yeah, understood. I know it well from many AA flights. Was mostly interested in the security escort, since the line can get long, even for PreCheck. Oh well.

Why do people need a stranger to walk them to a lounge ? What a sad entitled world.

I certainly don't need it, but certainly appreciate it when the security line is long.

In this case the OP was concerned about the length of the security line, which an escort would bypass.

Depends what flight you are on... I've taken CX845 3 times the past 6 months, and there's absolutely no lines at all at that time of the evening... Also the dedicated pre-check line is NOT available at that time as well, but if you have pre-check, they will tell you to keep your shoes on...

The daytime flights you can use the dedicated pre-check lines

I think you meant CX865? CX888 is HKG-YVR-JFK. By the way, FYI, both flights will be axed in 4 months.

For CX865 departure, Pre-Check is usually open and usually very short wait.

Can confirm, checked in online and using AA Flagship checkin wouldn't have been faster, except for maybe "look at me, I'm FAMOUS" factor.

CX's gate wasn't particularly close to Flagship First Dining.
