Baggage Interline: CDG to HKG on CX & HKG to TPE on CI

Baggage Interline: CDG to HKG on CX & HKG to TPE on CI
I have searched and even called CX sale office directly, but found different answers regarding baggage interline from CX to CI. Does anyone have experience on this? Many thanks.
J from CDG to HKG on CX
Y from HKG to TPE on CI
Upon baggage check-in at CDG, I would like to have baggage through-checked to TPE. Is it possible at all?

I have a version of same question and Cathay Twitter gave me a "Yes, but check with gate agents " answer. I am on SFO-KHG-CHC ticket with 36 hour layover in HKG but want bags checked to CHC and not pick up in HKG. On 1st/business ticket . Any one check a bag on single ticket with longer layover in HKG?
