CX594 being cancelled on Nov 4?

I'm currently confirmed on CX594 on November 4th, however, i've noticed the flight is no longer for sale and EF is showing it as J0 C0 D0 I0 U P0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 G0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0. Should I expecting this flight to be cancelled soon?

more cuts to come

Cathay said its capacity would be down “slightly” during the winter flying season, which runs from the end of October until March next year, as opposed to a planned expansion of 6 per cent, signalling a significant cut in flying activities.

According to airline scheduling tracker service Airline Route, which analysed the Hong Kong carrier’s ticketing system, Cathay’s four weekly non-stop flights to Dublin could no longer be booked while Cathay Dragon’s daily service to Tokyo Haneda Airport similarly became unavailable, although Cathay Pacific flights to Haneda were not impacted.

The late-night Cathay Dragon flight to Beijing from Hong Kong also appeared at risk. But nighttime flights to Paris and Frankfurt, better timed for business travellers, were also unaffected.

Flights to Vancouver are being reduced from 17 to 14 a week from October 29 onwards, similarly Washington would lose one of its five weekly flights, and New York JFK is expected to fall from 21 to 18 services a week.

Seems likely. It's probably part of this:

I guess I have to silently wait until they officially cancel it and request rebooking onto another flight. (Am on lowly class Q fare with no status). If this flight does get cancelled. And the next one (CX562) is J9 C9 D9 I9 U P0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0 L0 V0 G0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0 , can I still get rebooked into this flight altho my current fare class is only Q?

Though not the same flight, I believe I have a reservation on a soon-to-be canceled flight.

I'm playing the waiting game to see when/if it gets canceled and how I'll be rebooked.

If I read airlineroute.net correctly, Medan service is suspended end of Oct but resumes end of March?

I’m also on one of the affected flights. Is there a way I can call in to request a change proactively (knowing that it will eventually get changed)? I have some flexibility in my schedule but it would be nice to be able to just request the flights I want now before they sell out. If not, how long does it usually take for changes to take come out?

Flight was canceled this morning. I was moved from a Tuesday flight to the Monday flight.

Kind of messes up a travel plan as I went from a stopover in HKG to a connection. I am hoping they can move the first flight back to accommodate.

The IAD flight cut is the Tuesday flight. I was scheduled to be on it in March. Got an email this AM proposing putting me on the Monday flight. But there's no reschedule noted for my flight from CMB which is where I am originating. Of course Monday is the one day of the week when they don't fly CMB-HKG. So hopefully they won't mind re-routing me via SIN since there's a UL flight CMB-SIN that could connect to a CX flight there. Guess it's time to get on the phone...

ETA:
Called up and the agent recognized the problem with no Monday flight CMB-HKG. She was going to re-route me on the original day via LAX but I asked her to keep the rescheduled HKG-IAD since there's no way I want to sit in an AA 738 for a redeye. I fed her the flights I wanted and she indicated that it was not a problem. But I'm still waiting for the confirmation email. As of now my original itinerary is gone completely

My flight is still in a limbo. Not yet cancelled but all fare zeroed out / not for sale.

Edit: Looks like every CX594 from October 28 onward has been zeroed out.

My 4/12 First Class HKG - JFK 846 got bump down to Business. And I called Alaska Airline to change my booking, looks like there is a new flight CX 842 departure from 1:50am and arrive in JFK at 6am.

So seems like CX 842 will replace CX 888. And CX 846 no longer offer First Class...

Edit : Just found out they swap the plane from 777-300ER to A350-900 for CX 846.

Same, CX845 next summer. Moved over to new 843 to preserve F seat. Means less time wandering around JFK waiting for departure, and MORE time at CX waiting for connection to DPS, which is fine with me (assuming Wing/Pier open earlier enough!)

So relieved to have caught this.
