Can someone shed some light on a few things:

a.) Airport Express FROM the airport to Central; is this running? Or are both ways suspended?
b.) Guesses / people who know protester plans for what the airport will be like tomorrow at 6am?

Closed as of now. The whole line.

As long as IFC isn’t burnt down by 6am, suspect train will run. You should be fine.

thx. Sounds "fluid". In theory I think 6am should be a better chance than others, but we'll see. Just glad I'm not at the airport now.

from TVB live feed, seems that it is still difficult to reach airport. Lots of damage at Tung Chung MTR.
Airline staff should have delay reaching the airport and that would affect evening departures

seems airport itself is operating but transport is an issue. meaning staff rotation/shift will suffer and evenings will be affected

also word of advise: until things settle best remain airside for calm until situation clears (eg. train resumes). arriving pax who landed and left airport found no taxi but werent allowed back in, i read.

Flying into HKG in early-mid Sept., does it seem like these airport shutdowns are going to be a regular occurrence?

Probably not. But it might be a good idea to avoid Sundays, and possibly Saturdays. (says someone who has some Sunday booking soon).
