Hong Kong Disruption 05/08
Heads up for any members who may be travelling to or from HK tomorrow. I've just seen a CAD message stating HK will be on single runway ops from 1200L tomorrow with reduced flight movements. Apparently due to high ATC sickness :-) You may want to keep a close eye on CX for any changes or delays to schedule.

ATC sickness? I don't think so.
It maybe due to the citywide strike taking place tomorrow.

It's from Lihkg so take with a grain of salt, but 700 CX + 200 KA cabin crew reporting sick in the morning can't be the swellest news

Hong Kong prepares for transport nightmare and massive flight cancellations as citywide strike against extradition bill crisis targets MTR, airport and roads

Hong Kong Airport to go from two runways to one from midday Monday until 6am on tussday due to high sickness triggered by a citywide strike.
Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon to essentially halve capacity as many cabin crew are off sick too, to join strikes. Airline to also reduce crews to minimum.

CX/KA are texting/emailing affected pax. I wouldn't want to be a Tsuen Wan operator right now.
No official announcement on cx.com, but I see another 8 flights get cancelled on https://www.hongkongairport.com/en/f...passenger.page
