Check-in for CX 855 (YVR-HKG) possible the afternoon before

Hi - We're arriving at YVR from the US on Oct 4 around 1PM then departing Oct 5 (separate ticket) on CX855 - would it possible to check-in (with luggage) on Oct 4.

Thanks in advance.

No. Unlike HKG theres nowhere they can store your bags behind the scenes.

Not entirely sure how US-Int'l transit works in Canada, but if you are connecting on one ticket or connecting from AS or AC (or one PNR on AA but can be seperate tickets), I think your bag can be checked through?

We're connecting DL to CX on separate PNRs - so we'll need to clear immigration and customs then collect luggage.AFAIK.
