The flight services reps know the airport and immigration staff. Could well be an off the books transaction (i.e., bribes).

I arrived around 9pm.
Escort met us at bus gate arrival door.
We really didn't need it - non-priority queue was like 10 long (c.f. wife below).
Same priority lane as J pax. The counter has J boarding pass required (we're in Y, but the escort got us through the queue attendant)
Did the four fingers on the right, four fingers on the left plus two thumbs drill Fingerprinted upon arrival at BKK
The service proved more useful in the aftercare
Escort took mother to toilet while I was waiting for baggage
Then escort found my driver who was more English-challenged than my previous ones
Wife and family arrived 1am
Said arrival queue was very long, and the priority queue was much appreciated by sleepy parents.
And yes, her escort had to take her mother to the toilet as well

So unlike lounges, BKK priority lane is really now a J/F benefit, unless you choose to book the KKDay service in advance of arrival.
