AA coded Cathay flight award inventory?

AA coded Cathay flight award inventory?
Hi all,

I have recently found AA coded cathay award flights available on Qantas departing from YYZ connecting through US, doesn't look like a ghost ticket. But there are no availability on any other website under CX code. What exactly is this inventory and how can I book an award ticket of CX flight under AA flight number with say JL or AA?

In general redemption must be booked on own code? Does QF FF make an exception to this?!

Even if QF does, I don't think AA will put any seats under award fare classes.
