There isn't a designated B77W that flies to BKK, aka all 4 sub-types (including the 2 non-F subtypes) fly there. You can see the list of planes here and which are equipped and not equipped. 77A and 77H are 10 and 9 abreast 4-class planes with F. 77K and 77G are 10 and 9 abreast 3-class planes without F.
Cathay Pacific / Cathay Dragon Route, Fleet and Configuration Guide
You should also be aware pretty much all plane types visit BKK, not just 77W. And swaps are common.

If you're asking if there's a specific sub-fleet for the JFK route, the answer is no. It will get all 77H/77A birds cycling through the fleet. Hence, it's 9/32 chance of getting a wi-fi enabled plane to/from JFK. (2/23 77Hs have wifi, and 7/9 77As have wifi). You can find more info here, this link is also posted a number of times above: Cathay Pacific / Cathay Dragon Fleet, Route and Information Guide
But please don't hijack the thread if you have another meaning!

Instead of giving your comments any more attention I will just wait to see if anyone who has been on that route post their luck, which is obviously what the original question was.

1/28 CX 749 HKG-JNB, B-HNR, Wifi (Yes), New IFE
2/14 CX 382 ZRH-HKG, B-KQJ, Wifi (No), Old IFE
Is it just me or I find I like handling the Old IFE version better?

I don’t know if it has WiFi but I’m currently sitting on a Cathay 777-300 in BKK and the engines won’t start. This was a flight I was rebooked on from the A350 that also has a mechanical today.
So I don’t really care if it has WiFi LOL.

I had wifi on all 3 flights:
Jan 10 CX 879 SFO HKG
Jan 24 CX 870 HKG SFO
Feb 14 CX 879 SFO HKG
Fingers crossed that I will have wifi again on Feb 28 CX 870.
This is a welcome change (by chance ?) that I am getting wifi. I think I had wifi on only 1 of 18 CX879/870 sectors in 2018.
