Skipping Leg on CX
 
So i have a CGK-HKG-LAX on the 20th of November (1,200USD return for PEY i thought its a steal ):
CGK-HKG/CX0796

HKG-LAX/CX0884

But I plan to stay in HK for a while and do a CGK-HKG-CGK from 16-19th (AM redemption),

Would it be possible for me to skip my HKG-CGK and CGK-HKG and just board my HKG- LAX?
(if possible i wont even buy the HKG-CGK leg)

Eh. not complaining. It'll be interesting tho if i ended up doing all those legs since CX can check through my bags across different itineraries.

Unless you do this frequently, CX will likely allow you to short check your bags to HKG. If not, you can always get off at HKG and have ground crew offload your bags (takes some time)

Alternatively, you may be able to change your ticket to include a stopover in Hong Kong. Change fee might be cheaper than a new ticket to CGK.

It's always worth pricing the change with a direct call to the carrier. Sometimes it is not so bad.

So TS gonna fly CGK-HK (16/11) HK-CGK (19/11) then. CGK -HK(20/11) n Hk to LAX (20/11)
but it seem like he want to skip the middle two trips.

Not sure why didn’t Ts buy CGK-HK-LAX with stop over instead ?

It's almost 2x the price of cgk-lax-cgk.

I called and its 1.1k USD more HAHA almost the price of my ticket, thats a no-go. moreover the agent told me i have to pick my bags up in CGK.

dun think stopover will result in double the price? Just add on the HK airport tax.
