A333 on HKG-CAN! Isn't it insane?!
Why the heck KA operates such an ultra short haul route using such a large plane? Isn't it a complete waste?!
For such distance, even an A321 seems too big! Isn't using a regional jet or even a propeller to fly this connecting flight with increased frequency (to about 6 flights a day) better to attract connecting passengers from mainland China? Even world-class airlines such as Finnair use propellers to fly short-haul, and their short-haul can go as far as Helsinki to central Europe! |

Why does it affect you so much? It’s a much better experience for the passenger. I’ll take a wide body over a narrow body any day.

The two daily flights are timed to connect to the main long haul banks at HKG. Adding more flights with smaller aircraft wouldn't necessarily serve the market better

In the past China Southern also offered two daily flights between Hong Kong and Guangzhou, but why they no longer exist now? Aren't them useful to connect to mainland flights in Guangzhou (there are so many mainland destinations where we can't fly there from Hong Kong)?

Because quite often all 307 seats are full with connecting passengers from KA to CX heading to Europe / N America and Australia! |
