Onward Boarding Pass wo interline baggage CX-> OW airline

Does anyone know if CX can print an onward BP if transferring to another OW airline on 2 separate tickets?

I know they can do this when you have interline baggage on separate tickets. But I am unsure if they can do this if you are only travelling HBO?

Last month, I was able to get my luggage checked through on to two onward flights on two separate PNRs (three total) for my route: HKG-(CX)-ICN-(BA)-LHR-(BA)-AMS. BPs issued also.

Unfortunately, BA17 in ICN was delayed severely and I missed my LHR-AMS, so I had to go out to collect my luggage anyways in LHR

so to answer my qn

helpful airport express checkin agent got me my onward MH DEL - KUL BP after checking in for CX HKG DEL. saves me going to the slow transit counter at DEL airport i hope.

travelling HBO so no interlining.

also - i think doing this may preclude needing a visa (according to TIMATIC)

im on ba so the del-kul sector in J gives me 140tp

through checking ended up saving my TP run. cx plane arrived late into DEL and I was met at the gate by a GA, whisked away on a buggy, and had a new set of BP at the transfer counter waiting, before being escorted through transit security.

this has happened a few times already on other tight transfers -> shows there really is value in through checking... for some reason some system somewhere tracks your connections and ground staff seem proactive, even across different carriers

but i thought you through checked on 2 tickets i am surprised to hear GA would got out of their way simply cuz you through checked on 2 seperate PNR..i would havr though thru check is just for convenience of getting new set of boarding pass without acceptance of liability by CX to ensure you get on seond segment? i learned something new...

i acknowledge its CX's strong point they still thru check to other OW carier on seperate ticket.

they do. I mean, they do try anyways. Sometimes the system says no and theres not much anyone can do about it.
