Cathay Dragon biz seats

Hello. We have booked a few flights on CD A 330-300 on biz and am wondering how much the seats recline. Seat guru notes they are not lie flat but doesn’t say how far they go. Thank you

I believe the pitch is about 44-46, exact same seats as CX regional business class.

The seats are very poor, with recline as noted. Leg space is very limited as well. I am on a KA A320 aircraft about 15x per year in business, and the seat is probably as poor as a short haul domestic US flight in First - perhaps worse.

The food/service are pretty subpar also. I frankly don't understand how CX/KA can get away with such a poor hard/soft product.

Fortunately, the KA/CX flight schedule works for me or otherwise I wouldn't be on it.

Thanks for the replies. The times work for us. We got a multi city Xian to KL and a week later KL to PEK. I hope for the best. Thanks again. 👍

KAs biz seats are the identical seats as CXs regional biz seats. They are standardized across the company (CX owns 100pct of KA).

Just bought PVG/HKG return on (K) class. RMB4001 includes tax. Just looked at Ctrip, return J in HX or MU are all under RMB4000. The sacrifices we make for MPC...

Well it is the lowest sub-class for 20 club points / sector and allows me to burn the last mid-tier gold upgrade certificate. But yes, a total rip off if it has to come out of my own pocket.

This not quite make sense... I always fly Y class (i.e. Full fare econ), and it only costs around HKD5132 all in for a Y fare HKG-PVG round trip... RMB4000 = HKD4800 for a K fare booking doesn't make any sense….

This is the current ex-PVG pricing for this route. Full Y is quoted RMB4850+taxes on their website. J is usually RMB7000. Seems CX/KA is charging a large "premium" for business travellers on this route whereas you could get cheapo RMB1100+taxes if you are happy to stay in HK for at least three nights.

Come on, let's be fair here! The seats aren't the most comfortable, but they have at least an extra 6" of pitch compared to most US Domestic First seats and have significantly more recline.

9c charges as low as 200 each way, and for an extra 100, you can get decent legroom. But, I usually fly MU to/from SHA for around 600 each way. They use crappy gates in HKG, but the 2000 saved goes a long way.

If you can handle red eyes, Air Asia X flies XIY-KUL.

And, KUL-PEK is well served (i.e. I wouldn't even ponder the HK connection on this one).

ETA: I googled KUL-PEK after this post, and learned that there is a 6p, 640p, and red eye. I would go with the 6p myself.
