Thanks very much.

I thought the same about Y being sold out on my flight, but it doesn't look like awards are opening up on flights departing within 4 days from now with F5 J9 Y9 shown on EF.

Thanks for the tip on counter upgrade. Fingers are crossed

6/30 is still a long ways out. The last two times I booked HKG-ORD at last minute, it was only a week out that seats were released even though they were F5 and F6. The former flight definitely had opups from J to F , after two F released with F5.

Restaurants do rarely, but luxury hotels do this all the time. Start watching SPG for sales/promotions on LC and StR properties and you'll see what I mean.
