Doesn't that make BKK a stopover if one just want a layover?

It depends on connecting time. It won't be a stopover as long as connection time is less than 24 hrs.

By the way, if you'd like to minimize the layover time at HKG and BKK, late-night departed exWestCoast flight is preferred. It is possible to arrive at HKG in the early morning, then heading BKK and SIN. It will take you about an hour layover for each segment.

around 6400hkd for 160 club points. Only need to overnight at SIN.

anyone have any idea as to when bkk-sin will reopen up? This routing was a facourite of mine for weekend mileage runs. Although im wondering if recent devaluation makes inter-asia milage runs not worth it.

Im about to do a hkg-mnl-hkg-lhr-hkg-mnl-hkg run in buss which i got at around hkd35k.

not aware of this yet. They are just rebuilding the SIN cabin crew base. Personally, i am looking forward to this happening as well.

If you are SIN based you can look at doing KUL-SIN one way. Best bang for your money

But this means flying MH and getting full credit from MH flights is painful given the prices charged in this sector. Not to mention the limited catering and the frequent delays for what is usually a 45 mins flight.

Intra-Asia J fares ex MNL seem to be a good deal at this moment.
