A small one I might have liked, and each to his own, still, this one was all tasting of grapefruit...ruined the lobster to me.

Had the Krug 2004 on HKG-SIN last week. Also the Branaire Ducru 2012, not great. But a nice Chablis 1er Cru.

Same as on ORD-HKG 2 days ago. What a shame!

Rare Millesime 2002 on CX239 HKG-LHR today. It's really nice and light, but Krug 2004 it is not

Was originally booked on this flight, narrow miss! Guess Rare it will be for my LHR red eye tomorrow night as well then. My sources have told me they got more stock of various labels of Piper recently so it'll be here to stay for a bit.

the OP mentioned 12-16 sevings per *full rotation* not per sector. Thus 6-8 per sector.

2002 is one of the best vintages in the last 20 years! But I'm quite sure it doesn't quite compare to the Krug...

Rare Millesimme 2002 is indeed a very good champagne, and I mean very good, but there was something about the taste of Krug 2004 which made it felt superior to the Rare Millesimme. Despite that, I do really enjoy 2002 as a year, and find much of the major houses to produce some very good specimens from the 2002 harvest. Additionally, I must add that I also really enjoy 2008 as well.

On my SFO-HKG a few days ago (CX 873) they were also serving Rare Millesimme 2002.

Narrow miss indeed, potentially had some rare together! Cabin went out 6/6

I had almost five glasses and enjoyed it, because of how smooth and light it was. Time to considering investing in some Krug 2004 stock

For these long haul flights can they actually return catered like this? (customs restriction/ timing more than 24 hours etc..)?
