Typical Timing for initial Award Inventory Release on NEW CX LH Routes?
Hi folks,
Some of us are hoping to jump on the inaugural HKG-CPT flight for CX795 on Nov 13, but award inventory is still nowhere to be seen (at least not yet via Asia Miles, nor via BA).
Has anyone out here noticed any patterns for when award inventories typically load for a new CX long-haul route?
(Yes, we do know it could be anywhere between 5 minutes from now, the week before the flight, or never. Just curious if anyone's noticed general patterns on this in the past. Especially for that inaugural flight).

1) Some new routes were instantly available across most dates as we have seen (BRU/CPH/DUB/IAD)
2) As a CX DM, there is an unspecified quota of award seats that you can ask to be opened up for every year regardless of availability. However, I have not been able to secure a seat on the CPT route both ways on multiple dates of my preference.

HKG - CPT now is showing lots of availability for awards in all classes beginning Monday Jan 21 (the change in timing means the flight now leaves Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 00:10). Both QF and BA are displaying lots of seats; after grabbing a couple U seats (from AS), BA was still 3 remaining.
