Where are you seeing the availability loaded?

I just looked for January 2019 on BA and QF sites and didn't see any seats in any class.

TIA!

were several days CPT to HKG on the BA site in January earlier today, and I was ticketed using AS no problem.

Yes --- I'm also now seeing the CPT to HKG award seats, but unfortunately none in the other direction.
Should anyone note award seats on the westbound flights getting loaded, I hope they'll update this thread. Thanks!

With the small change of timing (to 00:10 on M,W,F), the westbound flight (HKG - CPT) now is showing some award availability (which I did not observe before today).

Why can't I book this flight from YVR?

Does anyone know why the CX website will let me book YVR-JNB with a HKG stopover, but not to CPT?
Looking into booking for next winter.
When I type in YVR as the origin, the website will let me put in JNB as the destination but not CPT.
Oddly, when I input HKG as the origin, the website will let me put in CPT.

Does CX not want N.Americans to fly to CPT or what?

Has Cape Town been announced for next season? I thought they were only flying until Jan 2019.

Fare is there. Contact a TA or call CX directly to book.

I just found out I can book YVR-CPT on Expedia also. But I don't want to use OTA.
There must be a bug on the CX website then.
I'll have to find a time to call CX. This is so weird.

It appears you can use multi-city on CX website to book this, but very weird indeed: CPT-YVR can be selected with no problems.

Probably yet another 'glitch' from CX's IT department!

evergrn you're doing paid fares right?
YVR-CPT should show up on award searches as a straight-shot.

I'm not sure CX wants anyone to fly to CPT for that matter .
Never seen CX hold back so much on U class before this route.

J can be two-thirds empty (1 week out) and they seem content letting it be...
*Been tracking most of January for pattern sake.

And I'm trying with CX Miles and as a grASpers LOL

I flew CPT-HKG last night and every seat in J was occupied.

Yes, paid fares. Literally nothing comes up as I start typing "CPT" or "Cape" with YVR as the origin. If I change the origin to HKG, then Cape Town pops up immediately. CX website does not let me do award searches since I'm not a CX Miles member.

The website is very clunky when it comes to redemptions - you have to enter every leg of the flight to determine availability.

Flights HKG to CPT are bookable over Christmas 2019 but awards are already fully redeemed.
