If things internally can escalate, I'm surely alot of non FTers on this world who would not know CX's stance.

erm except for 30 years min (70s-00s, up until the last 5ish years) they have been instructed not to take laisees, perhaps?

that is for the fact that im not sure what happened before 70s- from the pictures above i think it was never allowed.

its funny how FTers promote to flaunt some rules here but not the ones thats permitted across time and had been recommended by cx staff

Kaka, Actually I know a few First Officers personally on CX and KA. Think I'll get some truth into this. Helps everyone who looks at this in the future. Let you guy know when I get their answers.

Official from my friend

Less then $100 ok,
$100 to $500 need to register
$500+ no no

Source: current KA FO

so please keep the tradition of being nice and give lai see to crew if you can, afford and willing. They have to work during these holiday away from home, yes it’s part of their contract but every small appreciation counts.

The CNY is coming. From the discussion above, it seems OK to wish cabine crew good fortune as giving lai see during this holiday season.
Will anyone give lai see to FAs this year?

Can't redeem CX to anywhere over CNY.

And CX cash fares are exploitative.

So won't be seeing any CX FAs during the period I'm supposed to give lai sees.

Yep, I'll definitely be giving. It's just a small token of appreciation!

I just talked with a friend who working as KA ground checkin crew.
He confirmed that it is fine as long as the amount is not over 2000 taiwan dollors which is about 500 HKD.
He is looking forward to my checkin during this holiday season...

I usually prepare a bunch of lai sees and give them out to the FAs as and when I see them. I know it's not fair to the other FAs in the other cabin classes but I think it will be too much if you walk up and down the aircraft looking for all the FAs.
