Agree that QF scrambled eggs are bad, because they steam them (they claim they don't have a pan big enough to fry them )
Taste like powder, texture like some sort of cake, quite dry, tried at both Deck (below) and Pier J, definitely worse than McDonalds.

QF scrambled eggs: this explains why I think they're like steamed eggs broken into pieces. Would have been better if they just make it Japanese style steamed eggs instead.

Yikes, that's a whole other kind of scrambled eggs...looks like they're made from reconstituted powder...?

QF: Yes. They indeed steam them in some sort of giant bucket and break them into sometimes far too large pieces. They do use real eggs though, which makes it somewhat sad that this is the result.

after sxc's favorable experience recently i thought i give Wing a chance... well poor choice, bad boyfriend will forever cheat on you... so ordered the vegetain dish... they gotta really do something about presentation... if you look at dish, the bowl is not even properly washed u can see water on side not fully dried.. thats just yuck... thats what Cafe de Coral does

in their defence, Dan Dan Min seems to have improved...

maybe i gotta try Pier

Pier F was good last night.

Kale Beetroot salad wasn't bland and actually quite flavorful this time.
Ravioli are still the best thing on the menu.
Dan Dan Mien finally tastes decent again.
Double Chocolate cake is delicious.

Service was efficient, quick and friendly.

I had the kale salad last week and it was far too dry and tasteless, Pork was good though.

For those of you still begrudging CX for the catering downgrade, there is a new (and more exclusive) lounge option in HKG near Gate 1 at T1 if you don't mind paying an entrance fee (discounted if you have Priority Pass/bank card)

The a la carte menu looks great:

The lobster looks scrumptous

New menu

Was at the Pier F today and they have the new menu as of today. Generally the food quality are markedly improved from the older menu - there will still be haters, but I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 Chinese dishes: The soy chicken (ask for the boneless version), and the XO sauce sauted pork (ask for double portion). I asked for no rice.

Had the pork with XO sauce last night and it was indeed really good. Was going to post about it, too.

Had dinner at Pier F on Wed (22nd). It was the second day of the new menu. Food seemed fine (I had the burger) and service (both in restaurant and bar) very good. Also of note was a group of men in ties (managers according to my waitress) checking how things were. Presumably Sodexho feel they now 'own' the product and want to ensure it's satisfactory.
