for dimsum landside 3 options
airport - Jade Garden... mainstream ok/good quality
Regal airport hotel (walk 6min). chinese rstaurent i think called rouge... never tried but shud be ok
Marriot skycity hotel - shuttle there... Man Ho chinese restaurent hotel class dim sum actually very nice... also maybe 2x as expensive as Jade Garden.
i would think going to city for dim sum is waste... Jade Garden dos the job or you could walk to Regal hotel if u want hotel atmosphere... going by bus to marriot is trouble.

To the fellow above, you don't get the best of both worlds, I'm afraid. If you really want good dim sum, it's definitely found in town not in the F lounge. Nobody in their right mind from HK would go to the CX lounge for a quality dim sum experience.
If you aren't very familiar and don't care about finding the more authentic and/or quality dim sum in town, go to any lounge. They're all the same pretty much. Just mediocre middle of the road offerings.
Lol. Epic post.

I realize this violates the unwritten law that FTers must under all circumstances must maximize their experience of all first class lounges and will report to the re-education camps shortly for my thoughtcrime, but that's what I would probably do.

dessert has gone downhill. There used to be a proper cake of some sort but all they have now is random cheese or icecream or similarly creamy non-proper desserts.
which makes Qantas buffet dessert selection a viable alternative to F lounge... as to Wing Buffet forget it I had seen better quality selection at my high school hall in 90s.
