Do you know when the cut to 15k happened? I just received my annual gift and I seem to remember the bonus was higher when I applied last year.

Has renewal gift been cut for members of over 5 or 6 years? If it was said at application that the gift will be xxx, they should not lower it unilaterally.

Thank you.

Was there a different renewal gift for members >5 years? I understand they got a different relationship bonus (5-30% bonus on points earned), but not the renewal gift.

Would Paypal also get around the SCB issue? Otherwise I should look at using BEA Flyer then, or the CX Amex.

Depend whether it charges out of Singapore or HK - FTAlkBen any idea?

I'm not a big fan of Uber in HK - flagging a cab is still faster for my circumstances.

Yes
You won't feel it cos CCB is still cross-border fee waived
SCB AM will be charged 0.8%
So will BEA Flyer World

HSBC multiple cards getting multiple HKD 100,000 limits for RC?/ Pooling of RC?

I just received the HSBC Visa Signature and plan to set it to Dining.

Can I get another (or maybe more than one) HSBC card (e.g., Gold) and set to Home and get the same regular earning (4.16 HKD/mile) with a separate HKD 100,000 limit? Or is the HKD 100,000 set per account holder (vs. per card)?

If yes, will these RC get pooled with the RC from the Visa Signature? Sorry if this is a stupid question but some banks (at least in Singapore) do not allow pooling of points/ miles from separate cards.

You cannot get additional 100k quota and/or change the 6X simply by:

- applying for additional principal cards
- having family members issuing supplementary (additional) cards to you

---

You may pool your RC from all:

1) your principal cards;
2) additional cards you've issued to others; and
3) additional cards others have issued to you

But in terms of the 100K allowance, (1) and (3) will be pooled, (2) will have his or her own 100K quota.

HSBC to stop awarding Rewardcash on "quasi cash transactions"

http://forum.hongkongcard.com/forumSE/show/17275 #6
https://www2.personal.ebanking.hsbc....rdcash_T&C.pdf

AAVS excluded
Hongkongcard.comers deduced (and I agree) that this will hit points earning on Wechat Pay and upcoming HSBC Payme app
Also I add any top-ups of Paypal balances (as opposed to direct payments to merchants) will be hit also.

Do you mean that they won't award points on octopus top up, or that they will continue to include octopus top ups?
