4 Airbus A330 will be returned from lease
4 leased Airbus A330s will be returned from leased and soon be sold to Brussell Airlines. Do you all know which 4 will quit the fleet? The four are from the same leasing company. Their age will not be too old like the B-HLx aircrafts

Curious to how you know this? Are you an employee of CX or have I just missed something online somewhere?

Seems reasonable to return leased 330s in Ozzie config. SYD has lost two, one to go, MEL two, one to go, BNE one and PER one to go. According to Planespotters CX has 5 leased Ozzie 330s: LAC, LAD, LAG, LAH, and LAI. Since LAC has been repainted it would seem reasonable for the others to go, if any do.
Separately I believe MAN goes daily effective Dec 1.
CX has spoken of OZ ultimately being served essentially by 350s. Do you think that means that the 350-1000s will replace the 77Ws?

It's good to see OZ getting the A350. Wouldn't be surprised if the sole A330 flight in SYD goes to the A350 at some point. It eliminates the need to use some passenger seats as a crew rest.
There are rumors of CX picking up some additional A350's to replace the ageing A330's.
Assuming OZ does become 77W/A350 down the line, that leaves the Middle East (sans TLV), India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives as A330 destinations.

My guess is it depends, and also on how CX configs the -1000s. If they are heavy premium then forget it. If they are like massive cattle cars, then I think the odds are higher.
There is some conflicting information BUT it seems implies that CX might return 5 77Ws, all 77H I believe. If that's the case you'll definitely see the A350-1000s going to North America. Theyll need to replace that lost capacity. I'm not totally sure if this is correct though.

I don't think that the A350-1000 will replace the 77W to OZ. The routes are generally shorter than to North America and Europe, so you'd get more cost savings if you use the A350-1000s on those routes.
Additionally, I'm pretty sure CX has confirmed they're returning 5 leased 77Hs. Ultimately, I'm pretty sure the A35K will replace the 77Ws on many long haul routes. Many of the smaller routes (MAN, DUS, CDG, SFO) will/already have A359s replacing 77Ws. The A35Ks will probably continue that trend with route pairs that don't have first class (AMS/MAD/SFO/YVR/YYZ).
Curious to where the remaining 77Ws will go. Considering that many A330s will need to be retired pretty soon, both from CX and KA, it seems that it's only logical that the 77Ws will fly regional routes. It's confusing since CX stated that since they can't lower the MTOW of 77Ws (and therefore the airport taxes) they won't be used regionally, right?
