I enjoyed G16 and its view of the tarmac and boarding gates below.
After a period of 20some minutes and 16 "Final calls" (and that's only the ones I counted), there were still people walking casually towards the gate with their Duty Free shopping bags. Somehow, this memory stuck. Excited to see what they will do with the - limited - space.

Ditto.
CX has been hitting home runs with lounges lately, so I think there's good precedent to be excited.
I am also surprised at how long the renovation will go on for...9 months. Makes me even more interested to see what they come up with, since it's clearly not just a simple touch up. This is going to be a major overhaul.

Since HX has moved to the the midfield terminal, I wonder if they are letting go of their lounge beside The Cabin...would be great if CX could take over that space too.

Most likely will remain as a KA lounge but with the new CX concept.
Think of all the marketing hype CX have received lately with its new lounges. You would think KA would want some of the spot light too. Especially when most of its clients/routes are to/from China.

Anyway the Chinese name and English name of all lounges are unmatched anyway...

I equally like "The Deck" or "The Terrace". Can't wait for the opening. Looking down onto the Skyteam gates with 25 "Final Calls" and people still casually strolling about with their Duty Free bags has provided hours of entertainment. Curious if there will be any feature that the other lounges don't have. Maybe Massage Chairs, automated beer pouring machines, or a bouncy castle.
