Why should there be? The risk of an earthquake tomorrow is no higher than the risk at any point previously. You clearly don't have a good understanding of risk!

And what has this got to do with Cathay? Their operations are unaffected as far as I can tell.

Are you a professional geologist? From your statement , I seriously doubt it.

It certainly was. NRT may not have taken a direct hit but ground services were definitely disrupted, especially the trains to Tokyo.

Nobody (even professional geologists) can predict earthquakes. The first person who works out how to do so will become seriously rich. In the meantime I stand by my statement.

For FUK but should be extended to other airports in kyushu that cx only serve thru partners.

Earthquakes are only predicted at a low accuracy level. And most people doesnt trust its results.

You can standby your statement, but you remain sadly misinformed.

The most ignorant statement about earthquake ever. Any significant earthquake has a greater risk of aftershocks (another earthquake after the initial earthquake). CX should of put out an advisory at least make fliers aware of the fact.

News here in the US was stating aftershocks in the 4-6 range could continue to happen for months

In fact, there are usually many foreshocks and aftershocks with a major earthquake. Airports around there may also be used for emergency and relief.
