I have no problems with the expiry, for example.
As a counter-example, I would... I'm retired, I fly very little, but when I do it's mostly long-haul redemption F (e.g. 180,000 miles on CX). Even if I could get $4/1AM on all my expenditure (which is about HK$20,000 per month excluding rent or mortgage) it would take me three years to get reach 180,000 miles, and of course in practice it's very hard to achieve that, so I earn enough miles for that single flight about every 5 years. Which doesn't work with autoconvert.

The link is very interesting. People are trading Apple store GCs for 97-98.5%, it is almost like a VGC in US.

Hehheheh 98.5 is an ask. That forum is buyers and sellers.

They practice "there's no harm in trying". Well, both sides do.

Dear all,

Long time lurker/reader, first time poster.

I have read previous posts and welcome offers from the AMEX CX Elite card.

Did anyone get the new offer? I just received it last week:
- small welcome offer (3K Asia Miles, 1K for supplemental card)
- HK$2 per AM up to HK$100,000 within first 3 months
- HK$2 per AM up to HK$100,000 in forex within first 3 months
- so a promise up to 104K AM within first 3 months

Just signed up, and got almost instant approval

Ok done. Your results reported without use of your name (I've removed your ID to the maximum extent I am allowed to, which is all my posts but not other people's who've quoted me in quote boxes).

Let down by HSBC CS. Again.
I don't generally like to advise cardholders to enter promos with uncertainty - effectively gambling on promos.

Do we yet know whether SCB Asia Miles gives $4/mile for all transactions booked online? (even when, as with car rentals etc., the payment is processed much later). Or is it like CCB Eye, where you can't always rely on getting the online bonus unless the payment is processed instantly? (or, at least, fairly quickly?)

I'm currently reading across for now - what is online for CCB is also online for SCB. Haven't been told about any exceptions yet.
